Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Greater Manchester Region at Manchester Memorial Hospital seeks a Clinical Nurse Educator to lead nursing education, competency management and professional development within the NPD framework.

The RN will collaborate with nursing leadership, design and evaluate educational programs, and mentor staff from onboarding through advanced practice, aligning practice with ANA standards and LEAN continuous improvement.

Qualifications

BSN is required.
Minimum of 3 years of active clinical nursing experience.
At least 1 year of experience in an acute care environment or area of specialty for ambulatory/ancillary environments.
Experience as a preceptor.
Licensed Registered Nurse from the CT DPH obtained prior to hire date.
NPD or Clinical Specialty Certification within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

Learning Facilitator: bridge knowledge gaps using adult learning principles and evaluate outcomes.
Collaborative Partner: assess learning needs, develop programs, monitor clinical competency and support inter-professional learning.
Role Development: promote professional nursing practice and standardize quality of care according to ANA.
Mentor: contribute to professional development and ongoing learning.
Competency Management: capture knowledge, skills and performance during practice.
Orientation: develop and evaluate onboarding and role changes.
Change Agent: drive process improvements across micro, meso, or macro levels.
Champion of Scientific Inquiry: promote inquiry and evidence-based practice.
Perform other related duties as required
