Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator in Manchester, CT, to serve as a Learning Facilitator and collaborative partner within the Nursing Professional Development framework. The role supports competency management, clinical education, and onboarding for a large regional health system.

The educator will promote evidence-based practice, mentor learners, and drive practice excellence in alignment with ANA standards.

Qualifications

BSN required and active CT RN license.
Minimum 3 years of active clinical nursing experience.
At least 1 year in acute care or ambulatory/ancillary environment.
Experience as a preceptor.

Responsibilities

Utilizes educational design process and adult learning principles to close learning gaps identified by needs assessment.
Collaborates with nursing leadership to assess learning needs and develop programs.
Promotes professional nursing practice and aligns with ANA standards.
Mentors and supports ongoing professional learning and role development.
Manages onboarding and orientation for Hartford HealthCare colleagues.
Uses competencies tools to capture knowledge, skill, and performance.
Leads onboarding programs during role changes and transitions.
Drives change management and process improvement initiatives.
