Qualifications

• BSN is required for eligibility.
• Master's degree preferred for leadership roles.
• Current Texas RN license or Multi-State Compact RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
• PALS certification required within six months of hire.
• TNCC, ENPC, or CEN certification required within 18 months.
• Minimum five years of progressive nursing leadership experience.

The Nurse Manager of Emergency Services providesstrategic clinical and operational leadership for a fast-paced, acute-careEmergency Department. This position is responsible for ensuring the delivery ofsafe, high-quality, patient-centered care while driving operational efficiency,staff engagement, patient satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.

The Nurse Manager oversees daily department operations,including staffing and scheduling, patient flow, quality and safetyinitiatives, performance management, budgeting, and resource utilization. Thisrole works closely with physicians, nursing leadership, hospitaladministration, and interdisciplinary teams to promote exceptional patientoutcomes and a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuousimprovement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provideeffective clinical and operational leadership for the EmergencyDepartment.
• Plan,organize, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services to ensure safe,efficient, and high-quality patient care.
• Overseestaffing, scheduling, productivity, workforce planning, and employeeperformance.
• Fosterstrong collaborative relationships with physicians, patients, hospitalleadership, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Develop,implement, and evaluate departmental policies, procedures, standards,and evidence-based best practices.
• Leadinitiatives focused on quality improvement, patient safety, regulatorycompliance, and clinical excellence.
• Monitorand analyze departmental performance metrics, patient satisfaction,patient flow, throughput, and other key operational indicators.
• Supportdepartment budgeting, financial planning, resource management, and fiscalaccountability.
• Recruit,coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff while supporting professionalgrowth and leadership development.
• Promotea positive work environment centered on teamwork, accountability,employee engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Identifyoperational opportunities and implement strategies that improveefficiency, patient experience, and clinical outcomes.
• Partnerwith interdisciplinary leaders to address barriers to patient flow andenhance the overall Emergency Department experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelorof Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Master’sdegree preferred.
• CurrentTexas RN license or Multi-State Compact RN license.
• CurrentBLS certification.
• ACLScertification through AHA or ARC required within six months of hire.
• PALScertification required within six months of hire.
• TNCC,ENPC, or CEN certification required within 18 months of hire.
• Minimumof five (5) years of progressive nursing leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previousexperience as an Emergency Department Nurse Manager.
• Experienceleading and managing a high-volume Emergency Department.
• Demonstratedexpertise in quality improvement, patient safety, staffing, budgeting,and operational performance.
• Provenability to build effective partnerships with physicians andinterdisciplinary teams.
• Strongleadership, communication, problem-solving, and change-management skills.
