Job summary

Fall River Healthcare in Fall River, MA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our management team as Staff Development Coordinator (SDC). This role focuses on planning, organizing, and directing daily Nursing Services, serving as a practitioner, consultant, educator and facilitator for all nursing staff.

You will identify learning needs, develop training programs, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards governing long-term care.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and licensed in MA.
• Completion of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with teaching ability.
• Experience in hospital or long-term care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct daily Nursing Services Department activities under Nursing Director.
• Provide staff education, mandatory in-services, and continuing education to meet regulatory requirements.
• Identify staff learning needs and implement resulting training programs.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services and ensure proper documentation.
• Assist in surveys and inspections and develop corrective actions as needed.
