Morgan Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator (SDC) to lead education, competency programs, and regulatory training for our nursing team. This full-time role emphasizes improving resident care through targeted staff development in a Rhode Island setting.

Qualified candidates hold an active RN license in Rhode Island, with prior SDC or infection prevention experience preferred.

Qualificações

• Must possess a current, active RN license in Rhode Island.
• Experience as Staff Development Coordinator, Infection Preventionist, or similar educational leadership role preferred.
• Strong ability to build positive relationships and gain staff support at all levels.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations, nursing education, and staff competency requirements.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure the center maintains appropriate staffing levels and nursing care to support quality resident outcomes.
• Develop, coordinate, and provide education and training programs for new and existing employees.
• Conduct employee orientation and ongoing in-service education to ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate education records, competency validations, and required documentation.
• Assist with admissions and support nursing department workflow and resident care units.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs and promote staff development.
• Monitor compliance with mandatory training and clinical competencies.
• Support quality improvement initiatives through education, coaching, and staff development.
