Job summary

Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago is seeking a Nurse Clinician. The role will utilize nursing skills to assess patients via phone or in person, perform patient education, and collaborate across clinical and administrative units.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, routine nursing duties (phlebotomy, meds, vitals), documentation, and coordination of care with physicians and staff. An RN license and nursing degree are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
• RN license for the state of employment is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred for certain positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings.
• Provide routine nursing duties including phlebotomy, medication administration, and vital signs.
• Coordinate patient education and collaborate with physicians and staff as needed.
• Triage calls, manage emergencies per protocols, and uphold patient confidentiality.

Education

Associate’s degree in Nursing

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

State Licensed Registered Nurse for State of employment

Certification in Basic CPR

2 years of relevant clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment

Bachelor’s degree in nursing
