Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• State Licensed Registered Nurse for State of employment.
• Certification in Basic CPR.
• 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment.
• Bachelors degree in nursing may be required for certain positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Provide pre-attending care for patients and perform comprehensive assessments.
• Perform routine nursing duties including phlebotomy and medication administration.
• Interpret abnormalities detected in tests and procedures, then take appropriate remedial action.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Triage and prioritize incoming telephone calls.
• Manage urgent/emergent medical situations per organizations protocols for emergencies and cardiac arrests.
• Serve as a resource for staff and physicians for daily problem solving and decision-making.
• Initiate and coordinate patient education.
