Northwestern Medicine in Chicago is seeking a Nurse Clinician to join a multidisciplinary team. The role includes patient assessments by phone or in person, implementing nursing interventions, and coordinating patient education for the served population.

The position requires an Associate's degree in Nursing, RN license, CPR certification, and at least 2 years of clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• State Licensed Registered Nurse for the state of employment.
• Certification in Basic CPR is required.
• 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Provide pre-attending care for patients via comprehensive assessments and documentation.
• Perform routine nursing duties including phlebotomy, medication administration, and vital signs.
• Interpret abnormal test results and take remedial action with proper documentation.
• Communicate and collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care.
• Triage and prioritize incoming calls using clinical assessment skills.
• Manage urgent/emergent medical situations per organization protocols.
• Serve as a resource for staff and physicians for problem solving and decision making.
• Comply with policies and procedures related to patient care; suggest improvements.
• Initiate and coordinate patient education and community outreach as requested.
