Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking an LVN Instructor (DSD) to deliver Nurse Assistant Training under CDPH-approved curriculum. The program includes 60 hours of theory and 100 hours of supervised clinical training, scheduled between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

The instructor will train non-certified individuals in basic nursing skills and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The role requires California RN/LVN licensure, nursing experience, and experience in planning education programs.

Qualifications

• Resume with month/year format, employer name and contact for HR/supervisor.
• Active RN or LVN license in California.
• Two years nursing experience (RN, LVN).
• One year planning/implementing/evaluating education programs in nursing or 24 hours CE within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans to match course outline.
• Apply teaching strategies during instruction.
• Maintain safe learning environment in classroom and lab.
• Maintain discipline in classroom and clinical settings.
• Adhere to training site standards and attend staff meetings.
• Provide student assessments and verify clinical placement readiness.
• Document using CDPH forms and retain files for 4 years.
• Manage attendance, absences, and make-up topics.
