Nurse Aide in Training at Good Samaritan Home

Responsibilities of a Nurse Aide in Training include:

• Assisting residents with making beds and maintaining their personal spaces.
• Transporting residents in wheelchairs to activities, dining, and therapy areas efficiently.
• Distributing clothing protectors and assisting with dining room setup.
• Passing food trays (not assisting with feeding).
• Providing residents with ice water and ensuring supplies are full and available.
• Maintaining cleanliness and order in the unit, including cleaning equipment and organizing resident areas.
• Transporting soiled clothing for laundry or repairs.
• Participating in or assisting with resident activities.
• Reporting any unusual occurrences or changes in residents' condition to the Unit Charge Nurse promptly.
• Adhering to privacy laws and regulations, including HIPAA, and following PPE guidelines.
• Demonstrating teamwork, punctuality, and a commitment to quality care.
• Upholding C.A.R.E. values in interactions with residents, families, and staff.
