Nurse Aide in Training at Eastgate Manor

Become a Nurse Aide in Training at Eastgate Manor in Washington, IN, and start making a difference in the lives of seniors today! This position is a great stepping stone to becoming a CNA.

What does a Nurse Aide in Training do each day at Eastgate?
  • Assist in making resident beds.
  • Transport residents in wheelchairs to and from activities, the dining room, and therapy in an efficient manner.
  • Distribute clothing protectors to residents in the dining room.
  • Assist with dining room presetting of coffee and drinks.
  • Pass food trays to residents but do not assist with feeding.
  • Ensure that clean ice water pitchers and cups are provided and filled in each resident's room at least once per shift.
  • Maintain order and cleanliness on the unit, including cleaning pantry, utility rooms, wheelchairs, Geri-chairs, bedside tables, and organizing bedside drawers, closets, wardrobes, and tables.
  • Keep resident personal care items separated in bags.
  • Transport soiled clothing to laundry or repair.
  • Fill linen carts, obtain linens, or distribute linens to residents.
  • Participate in or assist with resident activities.
  • Report unusual occurrences and significant changes in residents' physical or behavioral conditions immediately to the Unit Charge Nurse.
  • Comply with privacy practices and procedures related to resident and employee records, including HIPAA and other privacy laws.
  • Use and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by Bloodborne Pathogens Standards.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and maintain prompt, regular attendance to ensure quality care.
  • Exhibit C.A.R.E. values in interactions with residents, family members, and staff.
