A leading specialist valve manufacturing & services organisation is seeking a strategic sales leader to drive growth in the nuclear energy space. You will own development and execution of commercial strategy, lead a high‑performance sales team, engage senior stakeholders, and grow business across North America in a highly regulated, technically complex market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement go-to-market strategy and business plans to secure revenue growth and deeper market penetration in the nuclear/energy sector.
- Lead full sales lifecycle: identifying opportunities, engaging customers, developing proposals, negotiating contracts and closing deals.
- Build, mentor, and manage a regional sales team and channel partners; align training, recruitment and performance goals to business objectives.
- Establish and strengthen relationships with utilities, government/regulatory stakeholders, engineering contractors, procurement teams and other key decision‑makers.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (legal, finance, engineering, product management, marketing) to deliver tailored solutions and successful project outcomes.
- Monitor industry trends, customer needs, competitor moves and regulatory developments; use this insight to shape regional strategy and new offerings.
- Manage financial performance for the sales division: forecasts, margins, profitability, budget control.
- Represent the organisation at industry conferences, forums and customer events across the region.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related technical field (advanced degree preferred).
- Experience selling valves, pumps, instrumentation or associated equipment.
- 7+ years of sales, business development or commercial leadership experience within the nuclear energy, power generation, or infrastructure sector.
- Proven ability to lead multifunctional teams and negotiate complex contracts at senior levels.
- Deep understanding of nuclear industry dynamics, regulatory frameworks, procurement/pricing practices in North America.
- Strong CRM and opportunity‑management skills (e.g., Salesforce); data‑driven decision making.
