Job description

About the Company

Our client is a leading provider of technical workforce solutions and specialized services supporting complex projects across critical industries. With opportunities emerging across the nuclear energy sector, the organization is focused on expanding its capabilities to support next-generation nuclear development, engineering, and construction.

This is an opportunity to join an established organization and play a pivotal role in growing its nuclear services platform, developing strategic industry partnerships, and positioning the business for long-term success in a rapidly evolving energy market.

About the Position

Our client is seeking an Executive Vice President of Nuclear Services to lead national growth initiatives across commercial nuclear services, new plant development, small modular reactors (SMRs), advanced nuclear technologies, national laboratories, and nuclear engineering services.

This executive will be responsible for developing and executing commercial strategy, cultivating senior-level customer relationships, securing major contracts, and building the teams and delivery capabilities needed to support complex nuclear programs from early development and engineering through construction.

The ideal candidate is an established nuclear industry leader with a strong commercial track record, an extensive network of executive relationships, and the ability to translate emerging project opportunities into sustainable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Growth Strategy: Develop and execute a national growth strategy for nuclear services, new plant development, and advanced nuclear markets.
  • Business Development: Originate and secure major opportunities with utilities, reactor developers, EPC contractors, engineering firms, national laboratories, and other nuclear industry stakeholders.
  • Strategic Account Management: Establish and expand executive-level relationships, strengthen existing partnerships, and build a pipeline of long-term commercial opportunities.
  • Market Expansion: Identify opportunities across new nuclear construction, SMRs, advanced reactor technologies, and specialized engineering services.
  • Commercial Leadership: Lead complex pursuits, contract negotiations, strategic partnerships, and account development initiatives to drive revenue growth.
  • Delivery Capabilities: Align engineering, technical services, and workforce solutions with customer project schedules, construction plans, and resource requirements.
  • Team Development: Build and lead high-performing commercial and technical teams capable of supporting large-scale nuclear programs nationwide.
  • Executive Collaboration: Work with organizational leadership to establish growth priorities, evaluate market opportunities, and scale the business to meet increasing industry demand.
Requirements
  • Senior leadership experience within nuclear services, engineering, EPC, technical consulting, or specialized nuclear workforce solutions.
  • Demonstrated success generating revenue, winning complex contracts, and expanding major accounts within the commercial nuclear industry.
  • Established executive-level relationships with nuclear utilities, reactor developers, EPC firms, engineering organizations, or other key nuclear stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of nuclear new plant development, construction execution, project schedules, and workforce resource planning.
  • Familiarity with small modular reactors, advanced reactor technologies, and the evolving nuclear development market.
  • Proven ability to develop commercial strategies, build strategic partnerships, and lead teams responsible for business growth and service delivery.
  • Strong executive presence, negotiation skills, and the ability to influence decision-makers across complex organizations.
  • Willingness to travel nationally as business needs require.
Important:

This position is focused on commercial growth, strategic account development, and expanding nuclear services capabilities. Candidates whose experience is limited to plant operations, outage execution, QA/QC, or nondestructive testing (NDT) leadership will not be the primary target. A proven commercial track record and an active network within the nuclear industry are essential.

Benefits
  • Executive-level compensation commensurate with experience and demonstrated results $400,000-$700,000.
  • Superb Benefits
  • Significant earning potential tied to business growth and commercial performance.
  • Remote work flexibility with a national leadership scope.
  • The opportunity to influence the growth strategy of an expanding nuclear services business.
  • Direct involvement in major nuclear development and construction opportunities.
  • The ability to build strategic customer relationships and shape service capabilities in a growing energy market.
