Job summary

Constellation is hiring Initial License Trainees to become licensed Senior Reactor Operators at the Clinton Nuclear Power Station in Clinton, IL. The role trains candidates to supervise licensed reactor operators and be prepared for NRC licensing and shift supervision responsibilities.

During training, you will attend ILT, complete phases to obtain an SRO license, and support operations, outages, and emergency response as needed. Relocation assistance may be offered for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 1 year Reactor Operator license at a comparable facility or 1.5 years at a noncomparable facility.
• 1.5+ years in a position equivalent to Reactor Operator (or Supervisor) at a military reactor.
• Engineering degree or professional engineer license and more than 1.5 years as a qualified non-licensed operator or staff member.
• Current or previous SRO Instructor certification and 4 years experience at a comparable facility or 6 years at a non-comparable facility.

Responsibilities

• Attend Initial License Training (ILT) including classroom training and on-the-job training.
• Complete all phases of training to obtain an SRO license and perform the duties of an Operations Shift Supervisor.
• Perform other assignments including emergency response, outages, and department coverage as directed.
