Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own the nuclear QA audit program, plan the annual schedule, and lead internal and supplier audits with a team of auditors and specialists. Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or qualifiable within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on auditing experience to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• ASQ CQA a plus.
• Writes audit reports that NRC inspectors could follow without a conversation.
• Comfortable delivering findings to those who caused them.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program.
• Lead audits end to end — notification, checklist, entrance meeting, evidence, findings, exit meeting, report.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Recommend additions, conditions, and removals to the approved supplier list.
• Perform surveillances and classify findings, issue corrective-action requests, verify effectiveness, and close them.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records and support audits of the program.
