Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own the audit program under our nuclear QA framework. You will plan the annual schedule, lead internal and supplier audits with a team, write reports, and verify corrective actions to closure.

You will maintain qualification records, supervise auditors, and contribute to NRC-inspector-ready documentation, with travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or qualifiable within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• Experience auditing for licensees, EPCs, or supplier quality organizations.
• Working knowledge of construction materials testing, special inspection, or geotechnical services preferred.
• ASQ CQA is a plus.
• Writes audit reports that an NRC inspector could follow without a conversation.
• Comfort delivering findings to the people who caused them.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program; internal and supplier audits.
• Lead audits end to end — notify, checklist, meetings, evidence, findings, exit, report; supervise team.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Recommend approved-supplier-list changes; perform surveillances.
• Classify findings, issue corrective actions, verify effectiveness, close with evidence.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records; support audits of our program.
