Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to manage the audit program under our nuclear QA framework, aligned with ASME NQA-1. You plan the annual schedule, lead internal and supplier audits, and write reports while verifying corrective actions to closure.

You will audit on projects against licensee quality expectations, manage qualification files, maintain independence, and interface with NRC-compliant stakeholders across sites and laboratories.

Qualifications

• Qualified as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor or eligible within 90 days; documented auditing training and written examination per NQA-1 Part II Subpart 2.23.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on auditing experience to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• ASQ CQA is a plus; reports written so NRC inspectors can follow them without extra explanations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program, including internal and supplier audits.
• Lead audits end to end: notification, checklist, entrance/exit meetings, evidence collection, findings, and reporting.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services; manage corrective-action follow-up.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records and participate in program-wide audits across projects and facilities.
• Deliver findings clearly to involved stakeholders and ensure independence from the work audited.
