Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own the audit program under a nuclear QA framework built on ASME NQA-1. You will plan the annual audit schedule and lead internal and supplier audits with a team of auditors and technical specialists.

You will write audit reports, verify corrective actions to closure, and maintain independence from the work audited. The role requires travel to project sites and supplier facilities and strong records management.

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or qualifiable within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with audits to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• Experience auditing for licensees, EPCs, or supplier quality organizations.
• Knowledge of construction materials testing, special inspection, or geotechnical services preferred.
• Ability to write audit reports and present findings to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program, including internal audits of every applicable NQA-1 requirement and supplier audits.
• Lead audits end to end — notification, checklist, entrance meeting, objective evidence, findings, exit meeting, report — and supervise auditors and technical specialists on the audit team.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Recommend approved-supplier-list additions, conditions, and removals; perform surveillances.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records and support owner, licensee, and NUPIC-style audits of our own program.
