Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to manage and execute the nuclear QA audit program aligned with ASME NQA-1. You will lead internal and supplier audits, prepare reports, and verify corrective actions to closure while maintaining qualifications and independence from audited work.

You will plan the weekly audit schedule, supervise the audit team, and handle findings with objective evidence. Travel to project sites and facilities is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on audit experience.
• Experience auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• ASQ CQA is a plus.
• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or qualifiable within 90 days: training, audits, and written exam per NQA-1 Part II Subpart 2.23.
• Ability to write audit reports that NRC inspectors can follow without a conversation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program; internal audits and supplier audits on required frequency.
• Lead audits end to end — notification, checklist, entrance meeting, evidence, findings, exit meeting, report; supervise auditors and specialists.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services; recommend changes to approved supplier list.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records and support external audits of our program.
• Record findings with objective evidence and ensure corrective actions are closed.
