Job summary

Construction Material Testing in the United States seeks a Lead Auditor to own and drive the nuclear QA audit program. You will plan the annual schedule, lead internal and supplier audits, and supervise a team to collect objective evidence and close corrective actions.

You will write audit reports, maintain qualification records, and support NRC-style audits, ensuring independence from audited work. Travel to project sites and facilities is required.

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or qualifiable within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance.
• Hands-on auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• Knowledge of construction materials testing, special inspection, or geotechnical services preferred.
• ASQ CQA a plus.
• Writes audit reports that NRC inspectors could follow without discussion.
• Able to deliver findings clearly to implicated personnel.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program.
• Lead audits end to end - notification, checklist, entrance meeting, evidence, findings, exit meeting, report.
• Supervise auditors and technical specialists on the audit team.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Recommend changes to approved-supplier-list and perform surveillances.
• Classify findings, issue corrective actions, verify effectiveness, and close with evidence.
• Maintain qualification records and support independent audits of the program.
