Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own the audit program under our nuclear quality assurance framework (ASME NQA-1). You will plan the annual audit schedule, lead internal and supplier audits, write reports, and verify closures with objective evidence.

You must hold NQA-1 Lead Auditor qualification or be eligible within 90 days, with 5+ years in nuclear QA and hands-on audits to CFR/NQA-1. Some travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Qualified as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor or eligible within 90 days; includes documented auditing training.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on audits to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• Experience in construction materials testing, special inspection, or geotechnical services preferred.
• ASQ CQA credential is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program.
• Lead audits end to end — notification, checklist, entrance meeting, objective evidence, findings, exit meeting, report.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records.
• Support owner, licensee, and NUPIC-style audits of our program.
• Perform surveillances; verify corrective actions and close them with objective evidence.
• Write audit reports that an NRC inspector could follow without a conversation.
