Job summary
S&ME is seeking an experienced Project Engineer or Geologist to support civil, environmental, and geotechnical projects in the nuclear sector, with QA responsibilities within the Nuclear QA Program. The role involves travel across our footprint and working with industry leaders on site selection, due diligence, field exploration, and QA activities in nuclear permitting and construction.
The candidate should have 5+ years in geotechnical investigations or related fields, a willingness to travel
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental, construction, or related field is a plus.
- 5+ years of relevant geotechnical investigations, construction, and/or engineering projects.
- Experience with nuclear projects is a plus; consulting experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Field coordination of drilling operations and soil sampling; classify soils and prepare logs.
- In-depth data analysis and decision-making to drive project success.
- Prepare proposals and reports to confirm client expectations are met.
- Create detailed reports with findings and recommendations for project development.
- Provide project and client support by updating on progress and engaging leadership.
