Job summary

S&ME Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Engineer or Geologist to support various projects in the nuclear sector as well as in the Commercial, Industrial, and Energy markets. This full-time role involves project management and quality assurance responsibilities, focusing heavily on geotechnical investigations and field exploration.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree along with significant experience in engineering or geology and be willing to travel extensively. Benefits include medical plans, stock ownership, and competitive pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in geotechnical investigations, construction, and/or engineering projects.
• Experience with nuclear projects is a plus.
• Consulting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Field coordination of drilling operations to collect soil samples.
• In-depth data analysis and decision-making focused on project success.
• Preparation of project proposals and reports.
• Creating detailed reports with findings and insights.
• Providing project and client support for updates.

Skills

Verbal and written communication skills

Ability to travel and work a rotational schedule

Outdoor work and uneven terrain experience

Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental, or related field
