Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide safe, patient-centered imaging services across the department. You will set up equipment, position patients, and perform exams per protocol, contributing to accurate diagnostics.

Requires an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT Nuclear Technology or Nuclear Medicine Tech certification, and BLS. Prior nuclear medicine experience is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Associates Radiologic Technology is required.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to obtain best study and maintain image quality.
• Report equipment problems to supervisor or service provider to ensure timely corrections.
• Clean, disinfect and maintain equipment per infection control policy.
• Verify clinician orders, gather patient history, and ensure proper patient identification.
• Follow procedures for administration of radiopharmaceuticals to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Prepare patient and equipment, assist with procedures, and maintain sterile technique.
• Maintain patient dignity and privacy throughout exams.
