Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a PRN on-site role in Georgia. You will perform exams, safely prepare patients, and ensure high-quality diagnostic studies. Positions require ARRT Nuclear Tech or Cert Nuclear Med Tech and BLS Instructor certification, with at least one year of clinical experience and nuclear medicine exposure preferred.

The role offers hourly pay with shift differentials and access to Wellstar CareerCare education, with up to 40 hours per week as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience caring for patients.
• Nuclear medicine experience preferred (1 year).
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech required upon hire.
• BLS - Instructor certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique for best study while maintaining image quality.
• Prepare and position patients for procedures with proper identity checks.
• Verify orders and ensure patient safety and privacy during exams.
• Restock and maintain NM department equipment and supplies.
• Provide patient/family education and document preprocedural verification.
