Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a PRN position in Georgia. You will perform imaging procedures, ensure patient safety and deliver high-quality diagnostic studies per department protocols.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, patient positioning, verification of orders, and coordination with radiologists and staff. ARRT Nuclear Tech or equivalent certification and BLS are required at hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience caring for patients (may include clinical rotations).
• Minimum 1 year of Nuclear medicine experience is preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech.
• Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to obtain best study and maintain image quality.
• Ensure patient safety, proper identification and preprocedural verification.
• Maintain and check NM equipment, report malfunctions and assist other technologists as needed.
• Restock supplies, transport and position patients, and participate in pre/post procedural care.
• Document procedures accurately and communicate with physicians and staff.
