Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide safe, age-appropriate care and perform all department exams according to policy. You will set up equipment, position patients, obtain complete histories, and ensure accurate labeling and timing of studies.

The role requires an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech, and BLS. One year of clinical experience is preferred; you must maintain image quality, report issues, and

Qualifications

• Associates Radiologic Technology degree required.
• 1 year of clinical patient care experience required; nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech required; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Operate NM equipment and position patients to obtain quality diagnostic studies.
• Verify clinician orders and ensure proper patient identification and labeling.
• Maintain infection control, report equipment issues, and keep PACS up-to-date with studies.
• Provide patient care with compassion, observe patient condition, and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Assist other technologists across modalities and participate in ongoing education.
