Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide safe, age-appropriate imaging and procedures in our Georgia department. You will prepare patients, operate equipment, and ensure accurate imaging while maintaining high standards of safety and patient comfort.

The role requires an Associates in Radiologic Technology, with 1 year of clinical care experience; ARRT Nuclear Technology or Certified Nuclear Med Tech credentials and BLS are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience caring for patients.
• Nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• All certifications required upon hire (ARRT Nuclear Technology or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist; BLS)

Responsibilities

• Operate nuclear medicine procedures with independent judgment.
• Ensure patient safety, proper identification, and comfort.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions promptly.
• Document procedures and pre/post exam steps accurately.
• Provide patient education using clear communication and AIDET principles.
• Assist other technologists as needed and participate in team activities.
• Restock supplies and maintain department safety and infection control standards.
