Job summary

Wellstar seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide safe, patient-centered imaging services. The role involves performing exams per department procedures, ensuring diagnostic-quality studies, and maintaining equipment and patient safety with independent judgment.

Qualified candidates will have ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech, and at least 1 year of clinical experience. BLS certification is required; certification upon hire is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience.
• Nuclear medicine experience preferred (1 year).
• All certifications required on hire: ARRT Nuclear Tech or equivalent, BLS.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to obtain best study and maintain image quality.
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers.
• Prepare patient and equipment according to procedures.
• Restock and maintain NM department supplies and cleanliness.
• Carry out pre- and post-procedural care per protocol.
• Respond to emergencies and support cross‑modality staff as needed.
