Job summary

Atlantic Health System's Hackettstown Medical Center in New Jersey seeks a Radiopharmacy Technician specializing in nuclear medicine to prepare and render radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic studies, using diverse equipment under physician direction.

You will measure radioactivity, calibrate scanners, and perform imaging studies, adhering to radiation safety protocols. ARRT/NMTCB/CAMRT certification and NJDEP nuclear medicine license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of AMA approved Nuclear Medicine program.
• NJDEP license in nuclear medicine.
• Certification by ARRT, NMTCB, or CAMRT.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and render radiopharmaceuticals under physician direction.
• Mix stock solutions, calculate and administer doses.
• Calibrate equipment used for diagnostic/therapeutic studies.
• Perform diagnostic studies using scanners or cameras to image organs.
• Measure radioactivity with Geiger counters and detectors.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and disposal protocols.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned.
