Job summary

The Nuclear Medicine technologist at Wellstar in Georgia provides safe, age-appropriate care by performing nuclear medicine exams per department procedures. You set up equipment, position patients, and obtain quality diagnostic images with independent judgment and initiative.

Required qualifications include an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, at least 1 year of clinical experience, ARRT Nuclear Technology or Nuclear Med Tech certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Radiologic Technology
• Experience: 1 year in a clinical setting caring for patients
• Nuclear medicine experience preferred
• ARRT Nuclear Tech certification or equivalent, BLS required

Responsibilities

• Operate NM equipment and position patients to obtain quality images
• Follow procedures and safety protocols for radiopharmaceuticals
• Verify patient identity and orders and document findings
• Maintain equipment and assist other staff as needed
• Respond to emergencies and ensure patient comfort and safety
