Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for day-time shifts in Georgia. The role focuses on safe, patient-centered imaging, precise procedures, and high-quality diagnostic studies.

You will set up equipment, position patients, and ensure accurate documentation and communication with care teams. Candidates should have an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology, at least 1 year of clinical experience, and ARRT/Nuclear certification plus BLS.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience.
• Nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech certification required on hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to optimize image quality while ensuring patient safety.
• Report equipment issues promptly and maintain infection control standards.
• Prepare patients, verify orders, and document procedures.
• Explain procedures clearly using AIDET and address patient concerns.
• Maintain imaging records in RIS/PACS and ensure pre/post care.
• Take call when necessary and support other technologists.
