Job summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Wellstar provides safe imaging services, preparing patients and performing exams per department procedures. They set up equipment, position patients, and ensure image quality for accurate diagnosis.

Minimum education is an associate degree in Radiologic Technology with at least 1 year of clinical experience; ARRT/Nuclear certification and BLS are required. This full-time role includes a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance where eligible.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates Radiologic Technology.
• Experience: 1 year in clinical setting; nuclear medicine preferred.
• Certifications: ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech; BLS.

Responsibilities

• Operate NM equipment and provide safe, age-appropriate imaging per protocol.
• Verify orders, prep patients, and ensure proper patient identification.
• Produce high-quality images; monitor and manage patient safety and comfort.
• Handle equipment, infection control, and inventory; report issues promptly.
• Assist with pre/post procedure care and document accurately in RIS/PACS.
