Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide safe, age-appropriate imaging services and support patient care across the department. The role involves setting up equipment, positioning patients, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic study results, under department protocols.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology, at least one year of clinical experience, and ARRT Nuclear Technology certification preferably with BLS.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associates degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience.
• Nuclear medicine experience is preferred.
• Certifications required on hire: ARRT Nuclear Technology or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Operate nuclear medicine equipment and position patients to obtain quality diagnostic images.
• Verify clinician orders and gather patient history prior to procedures.
• Follow preprocedural verification and Time Out processes.
• Maintain infection control standards and equipment cleanliness.
• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to emergencies.
• Collaborate with technologists and physicians to ensure timely patient care.
