Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support imaging services with a strong focus on patient safety and high-quality diagnostic studies. Technologists set up equipment, position patients, and perform diverse NM procedures following department protocols.

Requirements include an Associate’s in Radiologic Technology, ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech, and BLS. The role offers full-time hours, a day schedule, sign-on incentives, relocation assistance, and access to

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience required.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech certification required upon hire; BLS certification.
• All certifications must be current upon hire unless stated otherwise.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper patient identification and obtain clinical history.
• Perform and prepare nuclear medicine procedures per department protocols.
• Maintain equipment and adhere to infection control policies.
• Communicate with patients and families using AIDET standards.
• Provide patient education and documentation in RIS/PACS.
