Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform a wide range of imaging studies, ensuring safe, age-appropriate care. You will set up equipment, position patients, and execute procedures with independence and clinical judgment in a fast-paced department.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience.
• At least 1 year Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.
• Certification: ARRT Nuclear Technology or Certified Nuclear Medicine Tech; BLS required or Instructor.

Responsibilities

• Operate Nuclear Medicine procedures with independence and accuracy.
• Prepare and position patients and equipment for exams.
• Ensure correct patient identification and safety protocols.
• Verify orders and document procedures in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient well-being and respond to emergencies.
• Collaborate with radiology staff to maintain quality standards.
