Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide safe, age-appropriate care, perform exams, and ensure quality diagnostic images. You will set up equipment, position patients, and follow department procedures with independence and professional judgment.

The role requires AMA‑approved NM program completion, ARRT‑N or CNMT certification, and at least 1 year NM experience. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for patient care and collaboration with radiology staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Program.
• ARRT‑N or CNMT certification required at hire; BLS required.
• Minimum 1 year NM clinical experience; internship acceptable.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Verify procedures and orders; ensure correct patient identity and history.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals per protocol; monitor for adverse events.
• Operate NM equipment; optimize image quality and patient comfort.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control; sanitize equipment after use.
• Collaborate with radiologists and nursing staff; document findings and times.
