Job summary

Medical City Heart and Spine Hospitals is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, under the supervision of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, performing radiographic procedures and isotope applications for diagnostic purposes.

The position requires Texas licensure, ARRT/NM or NMTCB certification, PET certification preferred, and current BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire or transfer.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine
• MTR State of Texas
• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification
• NMTCB PET certification preferred
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider
• ACLS provider required within 6 months of hire or transfer date

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures
• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis
• Performs test in-patients and out-patients · Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment · Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice
• Demonstrates industry in radiation safety
• Other duties as assigned
