Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide safe, age-appropriate imaging services. The role requires an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT Nuclear Technology or equivalent, and 1 year of clinical experience. A sign-on bonus up to $20,000 and relocation assistance may be offered.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates Radiologic Technology
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience caring for patients
• Nuclear medicine experience preferred (1 year)
• Certifications required upon hire: ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech; BLS

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to optimize image quality and patient safety.
• Report equipment problems to supervisor or service provider.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain equipment per policy.
• Verify clinician order and obtain complete clinical history.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals following procedures to ensure patient safety.
• Identify patient with 2 unique identifiers prior to procedures.
• Review images and release patients with radiologist feedback.
• Operate NM equipment and maintain department standards.
• Takes call when necessary.
• Demonstrate sterile technique and venipuncture competence.
