Job summary

Wellstar in Georgia is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide safe, patient-centered imaging services. You will set up equipment, position patients, and perform exams per department procedures, ensuring quality diagnostic studies.

The role requires ARRT Nuclear Technology or equivalent, an associate degree in Radiologic Technology, and at least one year of clinical experience; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates Radiologic Technology.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in a clinical setting caring for patients.
• Certifications: ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech; BLS instructor.

Responsibilities

• Operate NM equipment and perform imaging procedures with quality control.
• Verify patient identity and ensure safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
• Explain procedures, obtain clinical history and document preprocedural verification.
• Maintain infection control, clean and calibrate equipment as required.
• Assist with emergencies and support other technologists when needed.
