Job summary

The Nuclear Medicine technologist at Wellstar in Georgia provides safe, age-appropriate patient care and performs a wide range of NM exams per department procedures. The role requires setting up the equipment, positioning patients, and ensuring quality diagnostic studies.

Required credentials include an Associate’s in Radiologic Technology, ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech, and at least 1 year of clinical experience; BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• 1 year of clinical patient care experience required.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate NM equipment and prepare patients for procedures.
• Verify orders, gather history and ensure patient safety during exams.
• Maintain infection control and equipment cleanliness.
• Review images and assist radiologists with interpretation.
• Participate in pre/post procedural care and patient education.
