Job summary

Wellstar in Georgia is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide safe, age-appropriate imaging and patient care. You will operate NM equipment, position patients, and perform department procedures with independence.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates Radiologic Technology.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting caring for patients.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of Nuclear medicine experience is preferred.
• Certifications: ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech required at hire.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Equipment: Adjust technique to obtain the best study and maintain image quality.
• Patient Care: Verify proper clinician order and gather clinical history, ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Procedures: Follow procedures for radiopharmaceutical administration with strict patient identification and privacy.
• Safety: Respond to emergencies and maintain life support equipment readiness.
• Teamwork: Assist other technologists and follow physician instructions.
