Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician to join the Heart & Spine Hospitals team. Under the supervision of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, you will perform Nuclear Medicine and PET procedures, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, and provide patient care with a focus on safety and quality imaging.

This full-time daytime role requires MTR Texas license, ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification, and current AHA/Red Cross BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine or equivalent.
• MTR State of Texas license requirements.
• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification required.
• NMTCB PET certification preferred.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider.
• ACLS provider required within 6 months of hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist performs general radiographic procedures.
• Performs at a technical level with independent judgment to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis.
• Operates Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment for in-patients and out-patients.
• Administers radiopharmaceuticals and demonstrates radiation safety.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine

MTR Texas license

ARRT NM or NMTCB certification

NMTCB PET certification (preferred)

BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)

ACLS (within 6 months)
