Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team. This full-time, day-shift role involves performing nuclear medicine and PET procedures under physician guidance, using a range of cameras and radiopharmaceuticals to support diagnostic imaging.

The position requires Texas licensure (MTR), ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months. Preference given to graduates of CAHEA-accredited programs; relief and career growth available within a major

Qualifications

Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine preferred.
MTR State of Texas
ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification
NMTCB PET certification preferred.
Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider
ACLS provider required within 6 months of hire or transfer date

Responsibilities

Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures
Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis
Performs test in-patients and out-patients; Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment
Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice; Demonstrates radiation safety
Other duties as assigned
