Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team at the Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals. Under the supervision of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, you will perform various radiographic procedures using nuclear medicine and PET technologies to support diagnosis and patient care.

The role requires Texas licensure (MTR) or ARRT NM certification, knowledge of radiopharmaceutical administration, and a strong commitment to radiation safety and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine preferred.
• MTR State of Texas license.
• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification.
• NMTCB PET certification preferred.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider.
• ACLS provider required within 6 months of hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures.
• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis.
• Performs tests in-patients and out-patients; utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and equipment.
• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice; demonstrates radiation safety.
• Other duties as assigned.
