Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician for a full-time daytime schedule. The role involves performing general radiographic procedures under a Nuclear Medicine Physician, handling isotopes for diagnostic imaging, and administering radiopharmaceuticals.

Candidates should hold a Texas MTR license and ARRT NM or NMTCB certification; NMTCB PET certification is a plus. Applicants must maintain radiation safety practices and complete ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine preferred.
• MTR State of Texas license
• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification
• NMTCB PET certification preferred
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider
• ACLS provider required within 6 months of hire or transfer date

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures
• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis
• Performs tests in-patients and out-patients; utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment; administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice
• Demonstrates industry in radiation safety
• Other duties as assigned
