Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC is seeking an experienced engineer to perform design and stress analyses of NSSS components in accordance with ASME BPVC Section III and relevant NRC guidelines. You will apply ANSYS and CAD tools to optimize vessel internals and supports while adhering to NQA-1 quality standards.

The role requires 6+ years of ASME Section III experience, readiness to travel as needed, and eligibility for DOE Part 810. Remote work is available within the contiguous United States.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering from ABET-accredited program; advanced degree preferred.
• 6+ years of full-time experience performing ASME Section III stress analyses.
• Experience using ANSYS for NB/NG/NF code compliance analyses.
• Desirable: seismic/dynamic analysis and programming skills (APDL, MATLAB, Python).
• Eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document evaluations of components per ASME Section III rules.
• Utilize ANSYS and CAD tools to optimize component designs.
• Interpret scope and project requirements; coordinate with disciplines.
• Acquire, maintain and develop training qualifications.
