Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a Mechanical Engineer (Nuclear) for a hybrid role based in our Knoxville, TN office, with three days in the office and two remote days. You will design and review nuclear power plant systems, prepare modification packages, drawings, specifications, and lead project teams, with client site visits as needed.

Qualifications include a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET), 3+ years of relevant experience, and knowledge of nuclear codes/regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience.
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for mechanical design in nuclear power plants.
• PE license is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design and review nuclear power plant systems and components.
• Prepare or review modification packages, drawings and technical specifications.
• Lead engineering project teams and interface with clients; visit client offices or plant sites as needed.
• Develop engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized work scopes.
