Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced I&C Engineer to advance digital control systems across nuclear power projects, including SMR and modernization efforts. The role emphasizes leading complex design work, client liaison, and multidisciplinary coordination to deliver reliable, code-compliant controls solutions.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in I&C design, nuclear facility experience, and a bilingual Spanish-English capability, with strong communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Eng.
• 10+ years I&C design engineering experience, with at least 5 years at a nuclear facility.
• PE license preferred.
• Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support control systems projects with a focus on technical execution and project management.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines to bring projects to completion.
• Develop Digital Systems Design — PLC, DCS, HSI, networked computer systems.
• Prepare control system requirements and procurement specifications for nuclear plant control systems.
• Interface with clients to ensure proper project execution and client satisfaction.
• Review diagrams and drawings for new/upgraded controls solutions; evaluate vendor bids.
