Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States is seeking a design engineer to join a multi-discipline team on nuclear power plant Instrumentation and Control projects.

You will specify procurement for I&C equipment, mentor through training, and may travel for design reviews and field verification. Candidates should have ABET-accredited engineering degree and at least 3 years of design experience; strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• A BS or MS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in design engineering for power plant control systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on a multi-discipline engineering team on nuclear power plant Instrumentation and Control projects.
• Prepare specifications for procurement of instrumentation and controls equipment.
• Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and field verification.
• Support station outage activities as required.
